walk, OK, game...that's it?

Okie doke...I got yelled at by a certain mother figure who usually goes by "mummie" for disappearing off the face of the earth. So I thought I'd catch everyone up.

I am doing better. The hurling left and right stopped after one day. I rested the next day (saturday), then I went to cheer on my friend for the last 2 miles of her cancer walk (she injured her foot so only ended up walking about 45-50 (I say only, hehehe), got a ride on the van they had for the rest). I took her ice cold gatorade, since the staff was serving the walkers watered down piss kinda sports drink. I also took her frozen wash cloth. She loved that one. I got uber sunburned. I walked about 2 miles (yes, I am SO awesome. Bow down before me you other walkers who only walked 40-60 miles! mwuahahaha). stuck around at the ending ceremonies for a while. There was such awesome energy at the finish line. Everyone was cheering and crying and laughing and stuff. They were all exhausted (almost everyone dropped and fell asleep or sat around with zombie expressions), but were still energized with that "freaking A! We actually did it!!!" energy. And they ended up raising over 4.2 million dollars!

OK = Operation Kindness. I finally got my volunteer job I kept talking about getting. Orientation was last night. basically stood and walked around for 2 hours and visited all the animals and got the low down on how the place runs and what our jobs are. Most the people there last night were doggie people, I think I'm gonna be a cat/kitten person. It was sorta interesting, the dog people would try to pet the cats in the cat rooms, completely not understanding cat posture and body language that was saying "leave me alone you smelly stranger, I shall bite you...and smite you!" so they'd jerk their hands back after a hiss. meanwhile all the cats came over to me and rubbed on me since I was basically leaving them alone :) go me! purrrrrrr. and the kittens...the kittens...SO FREAKING CUTE! the dogs were cute too, but too damn loud, and I can't work with them since they'll be pushing and pulling on me. maybe later.

So, I'll start working a few hours (every day mayhap?) and get my work stamina up. Then later this summer attempt to find a paying part time job. hopefully by fall or winter I can find a real job! w00t. and I have a spiffy OK shirt and a badge with my name on it! I am so cool now :)

the game...the game...is freaing addictive. That's one reason I haven't been online. yes, stone me, I'm horrible. so freaking addictive :) so much fun. that's all I'll say about that :)

and I believe that's all. Not a very exciting life, if I do say so myself. oh, I did see a few funny bumper stickers the other day:

"I'm sorry I wasn't in church, I was busy practicing witchcraft and becoming a lesbian"

"I'll sleep when I die" (I think that was a student, reminded me of my college days)

...ick, gotta love my memory, I can't remember the others...dangit

anyhoo, I'm off. gotta go clean the house (I can see the kitchen counters for the first time in 2 weeks!) and see the sun...before the game...the game...mwuahahhahaha

When it rains, it pours...

Yea, so I finally got internet fixed. But now I'm sick and can't use the computer b/c it somehow makes me more nauseous. and I don't want to barf on my comp, that'd be messy to clean up. and then I'd be without comp even while having enternet. dangit. and I didn't get to go cheer on my friend during her 3 day cancer walk. I figure I'd jus be hanging out on the side hurling left and right, and I didn't feel like doing that. Luckily today, no hurling, just nausea and fever. so hopefully tomorrow will just be fever and I can go cheer on the final day of the walk. w00t. Hope everyone else is having fun in their daily lives :)

Ack some more

Ok, cable tech dude came out and fiddled around with the cable, with the modem, with everything else inside, then went outside and fiddled, and finally said he was calling a line tech to come fiddle outside with the uber cable line (rather than my piddly cable line). So yea...my internet is broken :( hopefully it'll get fixed within 24 hours.

Cheers

uber ack!

Ok, I still love you all, and believe it or not, I haven't been posting NOT because of the game, but because of the internet. I haven't played my game in 2 days...I havn't been on the internet for any long amount of time (or with barely any connection) for 2 days. I'm lucky I got on today. Apparently there's some big problems in the metroplex right now they're attempting to fix (bs if you ask me, damn people love giving excuses). So peace out, I'm keeping this short and crossing my fingers taht it posts.

Cheers,

DAoC

DAoC = Dark Age of Camelot. It is the devil. I've been playing for 2 days, and I am completely addicted. It's sorta funny, my masseuse got me playing it, and I end up getting "computer shoulders" and "computer neck" (uber tight muscles and pretty darn painful). So since she feels somewhat responsible, but still wants me to keep playing, she's now offering me an extra free massage per week. So I pay once per week, and go once free per week. I never turn down something free :) Especially something as nice as a massage. So yea...DAoC. If you want a real life, in the real world, stay FAR away from it. Seriously. :) w00t!
