house & disabled, movies

Yea, so, the parents have left, peace has returned to the world of the house. We're all moved in, so no more nasty work and hauling stuff around. And guess what? I had all this insurance fiasco's since last fall, and we had attempted to get disability...but they said uber no. So I started paying this uber expensive insurance, while still not being able to work. So guess what? Once I finally feel well enough to start volunteering and hopefully working...I've been granted disability insurance. ACK! I need to check, I might not be allowed to work :( Sure, it's a WHOLE lot cheaper than the other option, but damnit, I wanted to do something...make money instead of sucking it out of my parents like a little monetary vampire.

So, now for my movie thoughts:
The Island - loved it. It was a lot like that 70s (80s?) movie, I think it might be a remake...they seem to be doing that a lot lately. It started out a little slowly, but then it was pure action and adrenaline for the rest. Really liked it.

Stealth - Great movie. Pretty funny and really action packed. A general war/ai/human clashing movie. But good. Hot actor(es)s, fun action, running, shooting, violence...all the fun stuff ;P

Sky High - really fun, cute "kid" movie. I think it's a teen movie, it's sorta weird seeing teen movies but not being a teen anymore. lol, if you want to see that goofy, cheesy, warm & fuzzy kind of movie, this one's good.

Batman Begins - really good. quite a bit of action (obviously), suspense, unrequited love (what's up with those superhero's eh?), and evil villians. If you like batman movies, this one's good. morgan freeman rocks :)

Charlie & the chocolate factory - FREAKING AWESOME! I'm so happy they didn't make it like the original, I would have been so upset if johnny depp tried to be gene wilder. Instead it was a new, original crazyiness. And the umpa loompas were freaking awesome. All their dances were 70-esque, hilarious. The squirrels had me laughing so hard I almost popped a rib. If you liked the origianl, I'm pretty sure you'll like this one. If you like Tim Burton, you'll like it. Really fun.

Fantastic Four - Great comic movie. Glad marvel did it. Comic movie = that explains it all. I love 'em, so I liked it.

Dukes of Hazard - freaking hilarious. I laughed so hard. I never saw the original show, but this one's great. Stifler rocks in any movie :P it's the stupid-funny-college kinda movie. hilarious.

Wedding Crashers - It was ok...had funny bits...lots of it was really dull or really crass. I don't think I'd pay to see it again or rent or buy it.

Skeleton Key - It was ok, better than the wedding crashers, but I'm not sure I'd see it again or buy it. It totally wasn't what I expected. It started off slowly, then it was horror-esque jump and boo, running & chasing action. The ending sucked, as far as I'm concerned. Still, if you want some thrills, it's pretty good.

Ok, that's it. peace out.
